Hypopharyngeal Cancer

Signs and Symptoms of Hypopharyngeal Cancer

These are common signs and symptoms that may be caused by hypopharyngeal cancer, a type of head and neck cancer. Because other conditions can also cause these, check with your doctor if you have any of the following:

  • A sore throat that does not go away

  • Ear pain

  • A lump in the neck

  • Painful or difficult swallowing

  • A change in voice

If any of these symptoms last more than three weeks, it’s good to schedule an appointment with your doctor to be checked. If it is cancer, early detection can give you better treatment results.
